you think we stop at cupcakes? well, we kind of do. but we never intended for it to be that way. when saint cupcake first opened, it was a dream come true for jami. her love of sharing baked goods with others more than made up for the 20 hour days she was working. after all, those hours were being spent making baby scones in yummy flavors like chocolate chip with ancho chili and blueberry with lemon. or making rich and fudgy brownies or chocolate chunk cookies or pumpkin gingersnap pies or banana bread or cheddar+onion biscuits. occasionally (seriously, folks!) there were a few cupcakes in the case, but other sweet treats definitely outnumbered the cupcakes. then something funny started to happen: customers (that’s you!) started demanding more cupcakes. special orders were for nothing but cupcakes. one day jami decided to not make that last batch of scones and instead made another batch of red velvet cupcakes - and guess what? the cupcakes were gone in no time flat. that created a slippery slope and quickly, all other baked goods were being outshined by the cupcakes. so, like any reasonable person would do, jami made more and more and more cupcakes. in fact, she could never seem to make enough. now, if you had a bakery and made a batch of cupcakes and also made a batch of scones and the cupcakes sold out in 15 seconds but the scones didn’t sell at all, what would you do? you’d make a lot more cupcakes! so, that’s what happened. and that’s how saint cupcake became a cupcake place. well, a cupcake place that also sells cinnamon rolls - because we DO still have cinnamon rolls on a daily basis.
now, all that said, we do occasionally break out the pie plates to make yummy pies. read on for details.

saigon cinnamon rolls
we have saigon cinnamon rolls fresh almost every morning:
they taste as good as they look. jami created the recipe for these cinnamon rolls for a very important man in her life: her father-in-law, jim curl. he used to go on and on about his grandma frazier’s cinnamon rolls - he’d describe their deliciousness in detail to jami every chance he got. so, as the ultimate christmas gift, jami recreated those cinnamon rolls and jim curl’s waistline hasn’t been the same since. just $2.00!

decorated holiday sugar cookies
jami learned the art of the sugar cookie from her mom - in preparation for visits from santa, of course.
it wasn’t until high school that she began mass-producing decorated sugar cookies - every christmas season at geneva high school, a group of students would get together and decorate eagle shaped cookies to look like santa (what do you call an eagle dressed up like santa? kris kreagle, of course!) why? because geneva high school’s mascot is an eagle, and students could order the cookies to be sent to their friends throughout the school. folks, these were simpler times when all it took was a cookie to make a 16 year old happy. now (if you watch my super sweet 16 on mtv) it takes a $50k car, a new pony and a rolex. anyways, jami’s time spent in the home-ec room baking cookies was preparing her for what was to come - although at that point she thought she’d be a singing sensation on broadway...what, with all that experience in show choir (seriously.)
our holiday sugar cookies iced with buttercream are $2.00 - $2.50, depending on shape/size. the sad part is that they are only available seasonally. during the holiday season to be more precise.
