oh my goodness. wasn’t yesterday something? all that eating?
and that pecan pie i made? that i ate half of all by myself? i do not regret that decision one little bit. sure, i’m moving a bit slower today. and i have a tiny bit of a sugar hangover, but that’s not stopping me.

speaking of moving a bit slower, our hours are a bit shorter this weekend than normal. i thought i should let you know about it:

friday, november 27th: 10am to 6pm
saturday, november 28th: 10am to 6pm
sunday, november 29th: 10am to 6pm

come see us! as soon as i can eat again i’m going to stuff myself with vanilla buttercream. because i’d way rather smell like sweet than savory.

holy crap! it’s almost thanksgiving! which means it’s almost the day after thanksgiving! which means my sister-in-law will wake up at like 3 am to go buy socks at fred meyer.
what? 3 am for socks? holy crap is right!

i know we mentioned in a previous blog that we’re having a doorbusters-blowout-one day only sale on gift certificates, and we weren’t lying. this friday (that’s black friday for those of you who understand what ‘bogo’ means,) we’ll be selling our $15 gift certificates for the low-low price of $10. this is a seriously good deal, and if you were planning on cupcakes for any near-future event, you should snatch up some gc’s now to use then!

in other news, we are changing things up around here! for starters, our menu. on december 7 our already delightful menu will become (magically) even more delightful. i know, i know, that doesn’t seem possible. but you’ll think differently once you sample one of our THREE (3!!!) new flavors: peanut butter cupcakes dipped in our rich hot fudge (then, hello! topped with chopped roasted, salted peanuts!) next, a delightfully pleasant mint buttercream atop our chocolate cupcake. and last, but not least, a delicious blend of chocolate buttercream and cream cheese which turns into a mellow chocolate cheesecake icing atop our chocolate cupcake. i have eaten enough of these three cupcakes in the last two weeks to tell you that they are, without a doubt, truly outrageous (not unlike jem and the holograms.)

in other-other news, december 7 is also the first MONDAY that we’re going to be OPEN! that’s right. starting monday, december 7 we’re going to be open SEVEN DAYS A WEEK! are you dancing in the streets? or are you at least dancing in your seat? please say you are. and please say you laughed (at least a little) at my streets-seat thing. please? no? okay. that’s fine. you don’t have to laugh.

but you should come buy gift certificates AND you should start visiting us on mondays. deal? deal.

this wednesday, november 11th, we’ll deliver your special order cupcakes for free! we’re waiving our delivery fee on wednesday and we’re thinking you might want to send a box of thank-you-cupcakes, congratulations-cupcakes, sorry-you-lost-your wallet-cupcakes, omg-you-have-the-pig-flu-cupcakes, thanks-for-being-a-vet-cupcakes, or some just on-accounta-because-cupcakes to someone you know. heck, you could order them for yourself, we don’t care!
