we’ve been busy! who knew easter was such a cupcake holiday? apparently, cupcakes are the new easter egg…or something like that.
here’s some saint cupcake news:

we’ve got two new cupcakers on board: kyrsten and michelle. kyrsten works the front counter and michelle splits her time between the front counter and the kitchen. we also forgot to tell you about cody - he works the front counter. and stephanie - she’s now working as our front of house manager, keeping everyone in line.

if you’ve been in to saint cupcake lately and haven’t seen matt (co-owner and funniest guy we know,) that’s because he’s in LA for all of april and part of may recording a new record with his band. although, when he’s working on stuff with his band he’s better known as henry.

everyone asks us about cupcake display stands - and finally we have an answer. VERY SOON we’ll have cupcake stands for sale - a few different versions, too. one that holds our dot-sized cupcakes and one that holds a ton of our regular-sized cupcakes (almost 300! perfect for weddings!)
these stands are fantastic - and come plain - so you can decorate them, spray paint them, adorn them with ribbons - whatever you want to use to match your event.

and, a little further down the road: we’ll have a stand that fits approximately 40 regular-sized cupcakes—perfect for birthdays, showers and more!

it’s true. we’re going to be on live wire!
what is live wire, you ask?

it’s a radio show taped at the aladdin theater here in portland - then broadcast on OPB.
we’ll be helping the live wire gang celebrate their second anniversary THURSDAY, MARCH 16- with cupcakes, of course.

we’ll also get a chance to tell some stories about our lives since opening the bakery - so, if you’ve come to visit saint cupcake and have given us a particularly hard time over something silly like not having red velvet on a sunday, we’re sorry, but we’re probably going to tell a story about you. (and for you people who were so uptight about cupcakes on valentine’s day when we had that dozen limit (you know who you are!) - look out! we’re definitely going to talk about your display of cupcake crankiness!)
don’t worry, we’ll also share some happier stories, because we are - afterall - a cupcake place. and what could be happier?

tired of wonder whether or not we’ll have red velvet when you get here on a tuesday? how about carrot cake on wednesday? we’ve now assigned our specialty flavors a "day" of the week - that way you’ll know what we’re serving before you get here. sure, we still might run out, but we’ll try to have the right cupcakes on the right day. check our menu page for more information!

it’s true, ladies and gentleman. we have what we *hope* is a kitchen filled with enough bakers to keep up with the cupcake demands of the portland area…megan. tori. rachel. jami. doing our best to make your cupcake dreams come true. sure, we still might sell out on a busy saturday, but we’re doing our best. we swear, we are. and we are working on developing new flavors, so keep an eye on us for updates!
