"this is revolutionary," jami announced with a tear in her eye as she gazed at her new saint cupcake counter.

"yes, i did say revolutionary. you heard me," she reiterated and the tear of pride rolled down her cheek.

thanks to the che guevara of carpentry, thadeus lutz and his lackies, pete and neil, monday marked a day in cupcake display history. the men of portland’s own black rock carpentry designed, constructed, painted and hand delivered (in the sweetest looking van in town) a display counter unlike no other we’ve seen. from this day forward, the days of customers in queue hopping up an down or weaving left and right to see around the mid-section of the customer in front are over. oh vee eee are. now you, our precious and favorite customer, can slowly meander around taking your time selecting cupckakes. they are out there for all of the world to see, not just whoever is first in line.

when asked how she felt with her new look, saint cupcake said, "this is the me that i knew i was inside for so long. i feel pretty again."

cupcakes make a maiden voyage!

on thursday, april 19, 300 of our red velvets made their way to new york city (some of which drew the long straws and flew first class!) on delta airlines’ maiden non-stop flight from the portland international  airport. each passenger was given a saint cupcake gift box with a supercute cupcake to remember portland by. we were thrilled that delta asked us to create their logo on some cupcakes to celebrate the monumental event; saint cupcake loves a party. it was reported that once the plane landed, a group of unruly red velvets hailed a cab and headed out to see the sights. this morning, we saw some hungover cupcakes heckling al roker on the today show. cupcakes can be so embarassing.  but look how cute they were before they left for the big apple! we hope that the cupcakes that stayed with their passengers behaved themselves…thanks, delta, for the great opportunity and the support!

 yeah, you heard me. I thanked tori spelling.

don’t act like you haven’t seen her new show on the oxygen network (tori & dean: inn love) or at least thought about watching it when no one was home. what’s that? you don’t have cable? well aren’t you a smarty pants? I only watch it because the pressures of working at a place like saint cupcake can really get to you. sometimes I just need to check out and unwind. that and we love talking about reality tv around here and I hate to be left out of the conversation. and we need to know what tori spelling is up to.

so I am off topic. the reason for this blog is to let you know (who have seen tori’s show, that is) that it’s been brought to our attention (cynthia, you are rad) that in episode #103 (b&b or bust!) tori decides to make cupcakes (red velvet) for a town hall meeting and they are saint cupcake’s very own recipe, which she found online….how exciting is that? we don’t know. but our cupcakes were in her hands! she even got icing on her booby.

if you’ve got some time on your hands, I highly recommend you check it out online. make sure to pause it 4 minutes and 31 seconds into the episode. you’ll see our name on her cupcake cheat sheet.  I hope it blows your mind!

saint cupcake is setting up camp this summer at the very cool Lake Oswego Farmer’s Market! beginning saturday, may 19th, you’ll see us there, with cupcakes in hand ready to serve the good folks of lake o a happy summer treat. whenever have you been able to buy a fragrant bunch of basil, a bottle of daddy hern’s bbq sauce and a fresh baked saint cupcake cupcake in the same place? never, until now, that’s when. we will be at the market on various saturdays throughout the summer, so please do stop by and say hello!
