hello there. happy monday morning to you!
did you have a good weekend?

we had a good weekend at saint cupcake - we baked cupcakes, iced cupcakes and had a staff meeting. even the staff meeting was fun. honest.
okay, well, maybe not everyone thought it was fun. i’m a nerd and i like information so maybe that’s why i liked it.

anyways, one of the things we discussed at the meeting is that our NW store is now OPEN ON MONDAYS.
no, i’m not joking! after years of listening to our customers ask and ask and ask about mondays, we’re finally doing something about it.

we’re open from 9am - 6pm today. be sure to stop by and see us - the monday menu is delicious!

oh, and that’s not all - not only is the NW bakery open on mondays, but our *order lines are also open on mondays - AND our online shop is also fully operational today!

i’ve had ‘holly jolly christmas’ in my head for the past 3 days. i blame it on high school show choir. yeah, i was in show choir. what’s wrong with that? absolutely nothing, that’s what. our show choir was called Geneva’s Image - or The G.I.’s for short. and every year those of us lucky enough to be in show choir basically got to take the month of december off and drive around ashtabula county singing christmas songs - elementary schools, nursing homes, rotary luncheons - you name it, and we were the holiday entertainment. and yes, we did an amazing version of ‘holly jolly christmas,’ and yes, i still remember the accompanying dance moves.

i know i’ve said it before, but, chocolate cupcakes that i have mailed to myself are officially my new favorite cupcakes.

we do a lot of ‘test’ mailings around here to get our online cupcake shop just right - and the last time we mailed ourselves a batch, i was in heaven. we were testing out larger quantities than the 3 that we usually ship and this particular box held 12 cupcakes.

i should also mention that, not only did we mail the cupcakes to ourselves, but Galen also threw them down the steps twice to make them more ‘well-traveled.’ when we opened the special shipping box, not even a single cupcake had moved a bit - all still safe and sound and ready to be iced and sprinkled. we then declared our attempt to ship 12 cupcakes a success and ate our way through the entire box. burp.

aren’t we so nice to do all of that testing so that you can now have cupcakes shipped in multiples of 3, 6 or 12? we are so nice, i know!

i smell (like) stuffing

oh my goodness. wasn’t yesterday something? all that eating?
and that pecan pie i made? that i ate half of all by myself? i do not regret that decision one little bit. sure, i’m moving a bit slower today. and i have a tiny bit of a sugar hangover, but that’s not stopping me.

speaking of moving a bit slower, our hours are a bit shorter this weekend than normal. i thought i should let you know about it:

friday, november 27th: 10am to 6pm
saturday, november 28th: 10am to 6pm
sunday, november 29th: 10am to 6pm

come see us! as soon as i can eat again i’m going to stuff myself with vanilla buttercream. because i’d way rather smell like sweet than savory.
